Inspired by Scottish flora, fauna and architecture, the artworks are designed in-house by our very own Tori Gray, owner of Harbour Lane Studio, who first paints and perfects the designs using watercolour paint and illustration software. The artwork is then printed onto soft, high fidelity velvet material and then the bolster is finished with a zip and branded tag.
There are gorgeous animal designs featuring stags, foxes and hares plus the gorgeous highland cow, as well as our national thistle, hedgerows and landscapes. Of course, landmarks like the Three Bridges, Crail and Edinburgh have all been lovingly rendered into versions of the bolster cushion designs.
Perfectly sized to fit in the arm of most couches or across the bedhead, the big bolster cushions measure 76cm x 28cm, offering supreme support and comfort as well as style. These are sturdy and substantial pillow bolsters that make a difference to your cosiness, being ultimately huggable thanks to their combination of soft velvet material and a luxurious feather pad filling.
Thanks to the convenient zip closure, the filling can be easily removed so that the bolster cushion cover can be washed. Simply throw it in the washing machine at 40 degrees Celcius and lay flat to dry, before replacing the pillow bolster filling. This is functional, usable art that can be constantly on display as well as enjoyed hands-on.
